Why Garlits Group?
We provide a "Turn-Key" solution. We don't just buy your client list - we buy your whole business! And we ensure a seamless transition for your customers - maximizing client retention. This translates into success and a higher payout to you, the seller.
How do I know when it is the right time to transition out of my business?
You will know when you know. If you still aren't trusting your gut, give us a call and let's talk through your questions and concerns.
How does the process begin?
It starts with a introductory phone conversation. During this conversation we will discuss your business, your short and long term objectives, our process and potential next steps. If both parties feel we have potential to move forward, we will set up a face-to-face meeting.
How long does the process take?
From first conversation to close: our quickest was less than 60 days and our longest was 120 days.
How can I trust my information will not be shared?
We insist on signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before any sensitive details (finances, client lists, etc.) are shared.
Should I get a broker involved?
No, a middle man is not needed. You engage directly with us - the Buyer. We are also printers and understand your business, what it takes to run your business, and everything in between. Keep your money in your pocket and let's work together.
What information will I need to provide?
Initially, just broad information: your history, number of employees, sales volume. If the conversation continues, we will sign an NDA and dive into more intimate details.
After our initial, introduction conversation, what can I expect?
If both parties are interesting in continuing the discussion, we will do a site visit and meet face to face to discuss next steps. We'll sign an NDA and ask you to pull together detailed financial data, sales data, etc.
What is your experience in acquiring printing businesses?
We have a 100% success rate - having acquired four Commercial Printing businesses to date.
What is your background?
I am a Certified Public Accountant by education but have been immersed in the Commercial Printing business since I took over my father's business in 2005. In addition, my closest and most trusted business advisor is my father - whom is still intimately involved in the business and has over 50 years of experience in the printing industry.
Last, but not least, I am lucky enough to have my wife as my main business partner. She spent the first 10 years of her career working at top 4 accounting firm until she came on board at our family operation.
What do I tell my clients? How do you make this a seamless transition?
We have a 100% success rate to date and all our past mergers have been seamless. We will meet your clients together to discuss the process and ensure them they will continue to get excellent service.
